Property
White crystal powder. Specific gravity: 2.633. Melting point: 150℃. soluble in water, lightly soluble in alcohol. Water solution appears light alkalinity, it decomposition when heated, and has reduction role. It becomes sodium sulphate when oxidation in the air, it is easy to decompose when meet inorganic acid, it will release CO2 gas.

- Used as bleaching agent,preservative,looseningagent and antioxidant infood industry.
- It is also used in pharmaceutical synthesis and as a reducing agent in the production of dehydrated vegetables.
- It used as dye reducing agent in the smelting of various cotton fabrics to improve theproducts' whiteness.
- The paper industry is used as a lignin remover,the textile industry is used as a stabilizer for man-made fibers.
- The electronics industry is used to manufacture photo-resistors.
- The water treatment industry is used for electroplating wastewater, drinking water treatment, etc.
- Used as a developer in photosensitive industry.
